A Prayer for Peace

Father; please have mercy on all of your people,
and put an end to the religious wars...
and the terrorism that goes with them.

Please help us to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan,
  let there be reasonable settlements there,
and protect the people that helped us.

Don't let us go to war with Iran,
Syria, Russia, North Korea...or anyone else.

Help us to be a better people,
to be more honest, more merciful, and more tolerant.

Help us to walk in your ways,
and to spread our faith and our freedoms
by example, not by force of arms.

Help us to elect leaders who will help us to become better people,
and lead us in the path to peace.

I pray for peace in Jesus' name.
(You of course, pray in the proper name for your  faith.)
